چکیده

Article history: Received 26 August 2015 Received in revised form 6 October 2015 Accepted 13 October 2015 Available online 6 December 2015 The removal of nanoor submicron particles from solid substrates is of considerable interest in a range of existing industries including cleaning of surfaces inside a spacecraft after evaporation of nanofluids. Amethod of nanoparticle removal using aqueous surfactant solutions is proposed. The surfactants' cleaning efficiency is investigated for all four combinations of hydrophilic (HL) and hydrophobic (HB) nanoparticles and surfaces, in order to find themost successful cleaning method in each combination. Carbon and silica nanoparticles deposited onto Teflon and glass surfaces were used. Cationic, anionic and non-ionic surfactants with a range of CMCs and HLBs were used in order to identify the best surfactant in each scenario. © 2015 Elsevier B.V. Transdermal Delivery of Desmopressin Acetate from Water-in- Oil Nano/submicron Emulsion Systems

Desmopressin acetate is a potent synthetic peptide hormone. A more acceptable route of Desmopressin acetate is a potent synthetic peptide hormone. That is administered via parenteral, intranasal, and oral routes. A more acceptable route of administration with potentially good bioavailability could be offered by transdermal delivery. The present work reports on the development of water-in-oil (w...

Phenylalanine Removal from Water by Fe3O4 Nanoparticles Functionalized with Two Different Surfactants

In the present study, the application for the removal of phenylalanine by using two nano sorbents, namely, cetyltrimethylammonium bromide –Coated and BKC (benzal-conium chloride)-Coated Fe3O4 nanoparticles was investigated. Solid-phase extraction (SPE) and ultra violet–visible spectroscopy were used for studying the removal ability of each nano-sorbent in this study. Scanning Electron Microscop...

Laser removal of particles from solid surfaces

Laser removal of particles from solid surfaces was investigated both theoretically and experimentally. A cleaning model was established for laser-induced removal of particles from solid surfaces by taking Van der Waals force, capillary force and cleaning force into account. Laser cleaning forces are induced by fast thermal expansion of particles and/or solid surfaces irradiated by laser for dry...
